Common Questions

What are your worship services like?

Each Sunday at Christ Harbor you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled KidsZone service.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. If you would like more information about our church, you will have the opportunity to fill out a connection card so that we can send more information to you.

What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our services. Come in what is comfortable for you.

Where are you located?

Christ Harbor is located at 13650 Hwy 43 North, Northport, AL. 35475. We are adjacent to the Winn-Dixie Shopping Center at Mitt Lary Road. A LED message sign marks the entrance to the building from Hwy 43N. For directions click here.

What happens during the week?

Children and Student Ministries have a midweek service on Wednesday nights, plus we have adult and student small groups that meet through the week.

What about my children?

At Christ Harbor your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry called KidsZone as well as a life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college.

How can I meet others and get connected?

You can begin by stopping by the Welcome Center or the cafe after the service.  Vounteers and staff members will be available to answer any questions you may have.  Small Groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

How can I be discipled and grow?

Worship + 2 is an essential way to grow in your faith. Worship + 2 is Worship plus a Small Group plus a Serve Team. This formula offers you the tools necessary to make growth happen in your life.

Why do you have small groups?

Small Groups are an important part of Christ Harbor; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced a small group. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As we grow, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you.

How can I get involved in a small group?

One of the easiest things to do at Christ Harbor is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout our area and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week. To search a listing of current small groups click here.
