What is the MiddleSchoolBeach Retreat?

The Middle School Beach Retreat is a retreat designed to help our current students welcome the rising 6th graders. It’s a time to get to know many students close to the same age and to get an idea of what the student ministry is about. It’s also a great time to grow spiritually and relationally.

Who is this retreat for?

Rising 6^th – 8^th graders

Who are the Leaders?
Chris and Gayla are the main adult leaders plus the Middle School Small Group leaders, Donny Lucas, Cara Oliver, Chris Sims, Ashley Casey, Brad Petrey and Whitney Petrey. Most of the Worship Sessions are lead by talks given by some of these leaders. In addition, we have other adults and/or parents who attend the event to help with cooking and other details.

Sr. High Leaders: In addition to the adults, each year we choose 2-4 Sr. High students to serve in a leadership role, usually in charge of recreation and setup details. This serves as a chance for our Senior High students to serve in a leadership role, but also gives a few older peers for the middle school students to get to know and trust.

Where will we stay?

We will once again be staying at the beautiful Sunnyside Beach & Tennis Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Registration?

Registration is $150 per student.
This covers meals, transportation, lodging and ticket to Shipwreck Island WaterPark. Students will only need extra money for two meals on the road, plus snacks and souviniers at Shipwreck Island.

The deposit of $75.00 is due Wednesday, June 30th.

Paperwork is available to download above and is also available on the Beach Retreat table outside the Student Cafe'.

The remaining balance and paperwork is due Wednesday, July 28th.

Details:
On Saturday, July 31st, students need to be a Christ Harbor at 6:30am. Please make sure ther are on time!
We will arrive back at Christ Harbor on Tuesday, August 3rd around 5:00pm. Please make arrangements to pick up then.

Remember, we must have a copy of your childs insurance card on file
